President Rodrigo Duterte has institutionalized 911 as the nationwide emergency hotline.
Duterte has issued an Executive Order No. 56 setting “911” as the new national emergency hotline for public safety and crime prevention, replacing PATROL 117.
The order was released only to the media on Friday, June 1, 2018.
